Her professional career kept her in Georgia for four years before moving back home with her Camden, SC native husband, Derek Hunt Stanley, Jr..
Dr. Stanley’s hobbies include watching sports, playing video games, and cuddling with her pets. At time of writing, the Stanleys have one dog and three cats.

Leanne Fishburne
Customer Service Specialist

My name is Leanne Fishburne and I have a passion for all things in the animal kingdom, from Bald Eagles and other raptors to softshell turtles, songbirds and honey bees.
Although I am not a native South Carolinian, I have lived here for most of my adult life where my husband and I raised our children. I’ve worked at various charitable
organizations for about 30 years. Currently, I am a volunteer with the Kershaw County
Fire Service where I help with community outreach.
I am looking forward to working at Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital because you never know what is going to come in the door. My favorite will always be cute little puppies and kittens but it is also important for well patient annual visits and sick care. When I run out of cuddles at work, I can snuggle up to my sweet rescue dog, Bowman.

Sarah Goodrich
Veterinary Assistant

I’m Sarah and I am so excited to be a part of this team!
I grew up in South Carolina but am not originally from here. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. I have lived throughout the Southeast working many roles from the veterinary field, to marine mammal training, to the educational field. I am happy to be home and raising my two sons, Spencer and Parker. It’s nice to be close to family and friends.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my “village.” We like to be outside swimming, camping, or visiting the beach/mountains, or just playing in the yard. The boys are always on the go and find joy in everything they do. I am also a member of a professional Caribbean steel drum band called Pantasia, and enjoy getting to travel and play for all types of occasions and events.

Katie Solar
Veterinary Assistant

Hi, my name is Katie Solar. Yes, my last name is pretty cool and, no, I'm not Spanish. I am a follower of Jesus and an animal fanatic. I was born and raised in Eureka, NC where I learned my passion for animals. I would often herd cats, dogs, and a few other strange animals that happen along. My family even had a desert tortoise once named Harry-it. We couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl. I moved down to SC for my family in 2012. I talk a lot and I can hardly keep a smile off my face. I love to learn new things and look forward to seeing everyday as a blessed day in some way or another.
I currently have 3 cats named Isabella Blue, Marina, and Marigold. They are quirky and clever in their own way.
