Meet Our Doctors
Sarah Stanley, DVM
Dr. Sarah Stanley has been a member of the Columbia, SC community for as long as she can remember. Her parents, Leanne and Barry Fishburne, moved to Columbia when she was very young. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 2013 and from Clemson University in 2016. She then attended the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2020. Her professional career kept her in Georgia for four years before moving back home with her Camden, SC native husband, Derek Hunt Stanley, Jr.
Dr. Stanley’s hobbies include watching sports, playing video games, and cuddling with her pets. At time of writing, the Stanleys have one dog, Benny, and three cats. Creature is a Sphynx cat who often enjoys hanging out at the clinic. Iss is a black domestic shorthaired cat with a voracious appetite. Logan is also a domestic short-haired cat, but is gray and white.
Sarah Goodrich
Hi!
I’m Sarah and I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful team!
I grew up in South Carolina but am not originally from here. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. I have lived throughout the Southeast working many roles from the veterinary field, to marine mammal training, to the educational field. After many different moves, I am happy to be home and raising my two sons, Spencer and Parker. It’s nice to be close to family and friends.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my “village.” We like to be outside, whether that is swimming, camping, or visiting the beach or mountains, or just playing in the yard. The boys are always on the go and find joy in everything they do. I am also a member of a professional Caribbean steel drum band called Pantasia, and enjoy getting to travel and play for all types of occasions and events.
While I do not have any pets of my own right now, I take pride in being able to help care for others pets as I would my own. I love using the knowledge and experience that I have gained to provide the best care that I can.
